David Boyd is a father and a resident of Franklin Township in Southeast Indianapolis. As a multi-state licensed catastrophe insurance adjuster, he responds to customers directly affected by hurricanes, floods, hailstorms, and wildfires.
David is a former federal officer with the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and a former field representative with the U.S. Census Bureau. He briefly served in the United States Navy before administratively separating as an Airman (E-3).
Born on New Year’s Day to American parents on a U.S. Army base in Germany, he was raised alongside his siblings in Killeen, Texas, where his Father was stationed and retired at nearby Fort Hood.
David is a triple product of public, private, and home school education.
During his childhood and youth, David participated in many Christian-based programs that fostered positive growth and character development. As a young adult, he dedicated his time and energy to providing positive outreach to at-risk youth.
While in community college, David and his twin brother cofounded a non-profit organization called The Enlightenment Tour, Inc., with a singular focus on working with at-risk youth in America. The organization proceeded to positively empower youth in several metropolitan cities.
David went on to become a Transportation Security Officer with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where he worked to fulfill the administration’s counterterrorism efforts and support in its mission to “protect the nation’s transportation systems”.
After moving to Indiana, David enrolled at Indiana University Indianapolis (formerly IUPUI) where he studied political science while continuing to serve as a federal civilian employee with DHS.
David is currently an insurance adjuster with experience handling specialty property damage claims across personal lines, commercial lines, special lines, and fixed property. David specializes in inspecting and adjusting property damage claims for automobiles, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, motorhomes, and heavy equipment.
David is married to his wife Constance, and they share two daughters. David enjoys being an advocate for others and is a member of a local Christian church.
